Job Description:
INgrooves is looking for a devoted Computer Scientist who is familiar with and enjoys working with large relational databases. The Engineering department prefers someone who will reform the standard persona and disciplines normally associated with DBA’s. INgrooves is Engineering-centric, and we hire only Senior Engineers. Typical Engineering practices at INgrooves are both radical and streamlined. The department is not interested in stored procedure/trigger/schema-limited specialists.


Responsibilities:

•See the world from a feature and technology platform perspective, then decide how the database fits in
•Solve the whole chain of events to produce and activate system features, from the client-side presentation to the data repository
•Encapsulate and subsume the standard roles of a DBA: function as a database product expert, secondarily, and manage schema configuration, normalization, optimization and scaling, meeting or exceeding best practices for large systems

Requirements:

•Proficiency working with and manipulating large, scalable databases of every kind.
•Thorough understanding of the science of retrievals
•Advanced Coding Abilities
•Familiarity with Microsoft SqlServer. Experience with additional product(s) is a PLUS, as systems can change periodically.
