We are seeking an exceptional QA/Release Engineer who is interested in playing a pivotal role in the growth of a small but established company. If you’re truly passionate about technology and bringing the latest thinking and technologies to your practice, we want to talk to you.
At TrackAbout, you will be responsible for elevating the quality of our product offerings.
* You will plan, develop and execute both automated and manual test cases and help to create a regression suite.
* You'll assist with the QA processes for each release cycle.
* You'll work alongside our customer support team and help bring them up to speed on new features so they can better support the customer.
* You'll create a framework for certifying new enterprise-class mobile devices for use with the TrackAbout service.
* You'll manage the release notes for each cycle and both communicate and orchestrate the rollout of new features to our customers.
* You'll work closely with our product managers and developers early in the development cycle to nail down requirements and set expectations and timelines for testing.
* Your responsibilities will be dynamic and varied and you will strongly influence the success of both our customers and our company.
Required
* Four-year technical degree or the equivalent in work experience
* 3+ years of experience in test engineering
* Thorough understanding of SQA/QMS best practices and knowledge of software development cycle, including agile practices
* Experience with commercial or open source automated test tools for testing both web-based and mobile device applications.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills; ability to understand and resolve complex and technical issues
* Must be able to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Experience writing SQL queries, preferably against Microsoft SQL Server
